Casting technology 

Own Technological Office prepares the comprehensive technological documentation concerning production of modelling equipment, technologies of mould and core, as well as heat treatment.

The Office of the Head Production Engineer is equipped with computers at working stands serving to support designing the casting technology based on the software Solid Edge® by Unigraphics® and computers at working stands serving to simulate casting and solidifying of metal in the mould based on the program Pro CAST by the Swiss company – ESI.
Methods of casting
Castings are made in accordance with the purchaser’s documentation, as well as in line with the provided pattern or design. In the process of casting, we use the modelling equipment: wooden, plastic, metal (e.g. aluminium). Font moulds are hand made and by machines, or by automatic moulding. Depending on the material and structure of a casting, one uses wet – bentonite and thermoset bulks.

 Minimum thickness of steel castings’ sides  8 [mm]
 Minimum thickness of iron castings’ sides  5 [mm]

Min 5 kg, max 12000 kg

Heat treatment
We offer wide range of heat treatment services. In the production of castings, we use types of heat treatment which depend on the type of material and clients’ requirements. The heat treatment is performed in computer-controlled gas furnaces, chamber furnaces with slide-out shank. Types of heat treatment used by the Company are as follows:

a)    soft annealing,
b)    full annealing,
c)    homogenising treatment,
d)    heat refining,
e)    ferritising annealing,
f)    stress relief annealing,
g)    hardening,
h)    low-temperature tempering,
i)    medium-temperature tempering,
j)    high-temperature tempering,
k)    sorbitisation,
l)    solution heat treatment

The weight of charge for heat treatment equals from 5 to 30 Mg.

The size of the detail which is subject to heat treatment is limited by the size of furnaces necessary to conduct the process of treatment.

We always offer professional advice and service, our Engineering-Technical personnel will develop the process of heat treatment in accordance with one’s requirements.

Authorisation for welding
We are in possession of the acknowledgement of welding technologies (WPQR) for the following types: WCB, L18HM(G17CrMo5.5), GX6CrNiMo18.10 i GX5CrNi 13.4., GS18NiMoCr3-6,  LCCQT

Qualification of welding Technologies was confirmed in accordance with PN-EN 287-1, AD2000-Merkblatt-HP-2/1, PN EN-ISO 11970 standards,

Standard of completion
Castings are provided in line with request, in rough condition or after mechanical working.
